Fishery Closure July 2026

Due to the high temperatures currently affecting river conditions, Ballisodare Fishery will be temporarily closed to protect migrating salmon.

High water temperatures reduce dissolved oxygen levels and place significant stress on fish, making angling unsafe. As part of our commitment to protecting the river and ensuring the long-term sustainability of the fishery, this precautionary closure has been implemented.

River conditions will be monitored closely, and we will provide further updates as soon as it is safe to reopen. We appreciate your understanding and continued support.
