Update (13th July):Fishery Closure july 2026

The fishery remains closed due to continued high water temperatures.

While continuous electronic sonde water-quality monitoring continues to show healthy dissolved oxygen levels throughout the river, water temperatures remain above safe levels for angling.

To minimise stress on migrating salmon and protect the long-term health of the fishery, the closure will remain in place until conditions improve. River conditions are being assessed daily, and the fishery will reopen as soon as water temperatures return to a level considered safe for both the fish and responsible angling.

We appreciate the continued patience, understanding, and support of all our anglers and will provide further updates as conditions change.
